3 The Boston Tea Party was an effect of the Tea Tax placed on the colonists. One response to the tax was a protest that destroyed the tea sent into the colonies by dumping it into the Boston Harbor. Today's Source: John Adams' Diary Entry Date: December 17, 1773 - What makes it a primary source?

4 Boston Tea Party Read the primary source account of the Boston Tea Party. Your goal for reading: -Find specific information, written by John Adams, that supports a monument being built to honor the colonists. ^ Why? When reading for a purpose, you are supposed to underline, highlight, and write notes on the actual reading. That skill reflects a GOOD READER
