2. Project Description The installation of 14 EVSE’s. The project was funded through a grant from DOE which was implemented by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). 2

5. Project Description continued Sac State had a requirement to charge a fee for service for each charging event of the EVSE’s. Prerequisites: This project required development of a Demand Response Management System (DRMS) by SMUD. 5

6. Project Description continued Prerequisites continued: Sac State had to install a new Energy Management Control System (EMCS) New Electrical Metering equipment with communication capabilities over the campus Ethernet network 6

10. The total energy usage 6,230 kWh, which equates to 1.93 Metric Tons of CO2e. This is equivalent to the 631 gallons, which equates to 5.4 Metric Tons of CO2e. The net avoided GHG emissions is 3.47 Metric Tons of CO2e. 10
