How do you determine the volume of an irregular object? Measure water in a cylinder. Add irregular object (Ex. Marble, Paper clip, …) Remeasure the water level in the cylinder. Calculate the difference in water level by subtracting the beginning water level (step 1) from the water level once the irregular object has been added (Step 3).
