Where is it and where did it come from?  http://www.teragridforum.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=Privacy_Policy  Started by Dane back in April of 2007  Presented at April 17, 2007 RPF meeting  Picked up by NCSA, revamped and presented at Architecture meetings  November 29, 2007 and December 13, 2007  Core2 Working Group adopted  Comments from PSC, TACC, SDSC  Reviewed by Tom Baron, InCommon Technical Advisory Committee member.

3. Why does it exist?  Requirement for TeraGrid to join InCommon Federation as a Service Provider.  http://www.incommonfederation.org/  Simply put, this is the first step to allow users at campuses to use Shibboleth to authenticate to TeraGrid web servers.  E.g. the TeraGrid User Portal.

4. What is (and isn’t) the Privacy Policy?  Walks the fine line of covering just TeraGrid GIG services.  Does not cover what RP sites do.  Captures what we do today – does not try to define anything new.  Does not cover what Science Gateways (and other “TeraGrid partners”) do.

6. Next Steps…  Once it is officially sanctioned by TG, InCommon membership for TG, with U. Chicago as legal entity, can proceed.
