Tessa Brewster’s “fashion wear” is constructed of newspaper, paint and silk flowers.

8 Assemblage art exhibit in media center
Madison Smith’s assemblage is a creative ensemble of wood, pine cones and needles, Fazzoli’s containers, paper plate, buttons, plastic forks and dryer lint! Sebastian Duke’s very personal piece was constructed using clay, moss covered stones, a glass light fixture and paint.

9 Student Self reflections
Students are required to complete self reflections in regard to their art, focusing on art principles, purpose, process, strengths and weaknesses, and self expectations/growth experience.

10 Student self reflection
Student self reflections indicate use of correct terminology and understanding of complex meanings in regard to use of principles of art and design. Further samples are available in the SLMS Visual Art Department.

11 Student portfolios Each student is required to create an ongoing physical portfolio of artwork, art terminology, critiques and self reflection pieces. Students are encouraged to explore media and processes, adding to the portfolios beyond required assignments.
