Objective To graphically represent a keyed entry locking deadbolt and door knob system in Pro-Engineer Wildfire. To create a deadbolt and door knob each incorporating a five-pin locking mechanism including a tumbler, cylinder, upper and lower pins, springs, and buffers. To incorporate latches and door jams to demonstrate the functionality of the deadbolt and door knob in everyday life.

Challenges We had to be extremely accurate in measuring the intricate parts that were involved in this project. The actual modeling was difficult since each piece is complex and has ample detail, all of which is essential to the workings of the system. The assembly was the most difficult of all since each mechanism involved several cam, slot, and spring connections.
