This shows my Kodu moving in my game. One of the pros with movement is that you can do all the things like jump, walk on water and never ever fall off the world unless you turn off the glass walls. You can also turn off walking on water. One of the cons is that no matter how fast you tell your Kodu to go it doesn't go very fast. It can also be difficult to get the Kodu to do exactly what you want, and may take some trial and error.

The screenshot to the left shows a couple of the land features that I made. The mountains and the walls are two land features that I made. You can see in the background some trees and a lake. A pro is that lakes and mountains are easy to make, and trees are easy to place, but the terrain is not easy to flatten or smooth if you make a mistake. In the screen shot to the right, you can see that I have changed my background. Once you know how to change a background, it isn't hard. You just have to choose the one you like. In my opinion there are no cons with the background change.

This shows some of the movement patterns that you can program your Kodu to do. Row number three shows that I programmed my Kodu so that when the Kodu sees an apple it will pick it up. One of the pros is that you can program your Kodu to move on paths, or with an apple. One of the cons is that all though you can do many things, there are also many things that you can't do.

For my program I used Kodu. I think that Kodu is a fun tool and very good for designing a game. I think this a good program because there are so many possibilites for educational and non – educational games. My rating for Kodu is a medium. I say medium because programming the Kodu can be difficult and confusing sometimes. I recommend this for future use in the classroom. I think that game design might influence more students to create games.
