6 © State of NSW, Department of Education and Training, 2010 Shaping behaviour in a digital world With students spending significant time in both the real and virtual worlds, it is becoming important for schools to teach young people what it means to be a good digital citizen and to be safe and responsible users of the internet.

8 Domain 1: DIGITAL CONDUCT Domain 2: DIGITAL FOOTPRINT Domain 3: DIGITAL RELATIONSHIPS Domain 5: DIGITAL LAW Domain 4: DIGITAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING Domain 6: DIGITAL FINANCIAL LITERACY Cross domain theme 2: CYBERBULLYING Cross domain theme 1: CYBERSAFETY Students will learn how to: 1.behave appropriately and recognise inappropriate behaviour online 2.understand the trail that is left by digital activities when maintaining an online presence 3.stay safe in online relationships and recognise and report inappropriate and predatory behaviour 4.maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle while using digital technologies 5.stay within the law while working and socialising online, including copyright 6.use digital technologies to safely and appropriately manage money and shop online.
