‘Hours of Service’ are regulations governing the working hours of most commercial drivers in the US or Canada
HOS limits the number of daily and weekly hours spent driving and working, and regulate the minimum amount of time drivers must spend resting in-between
Drivers are required to keep records of driving and working hours using a paper or electronic logbook
Main purpose of the HOS regulations is to prevent accidents caused by driver fatigue
