2. Motivation and Goals In the current fast paced life, finding lost objects can be a daunting task. People generally overlook misplaced items to avoid the burden of returning them to lost and found department. To make the best use of available technology to bridge the gap. To provide a simple, efficient, crowd sourced solution in the form of a smartphone application. To motivate people to return misplaced objects to their rightful owner.

3. Architecture The solution incorporates a client server model. Clients are the smartphone applications which aid users in reporting lost and found objects. Server is a distributed cloud storage for user information and object records.

4. Implementation Details The Android application will provide the user with the ability to add details about lost/found objects like photo, description and location. The information so collected is gathered in the cloud using REST APIs. The cloud processes the information and sends out push notifications to the clients based on predefined parameters. The platform being used for the cloud storage and services is Parse.

5. Progress Research on available cloud technologies and chose Parse owing to its scalability and performance. Setup Android dev environment and getting familiar with Android development and use of location services. Android application development.
