U.S. Department of the Interior U.S. Geological Survey Topographic Data Update IGOL: Rome September 13-15, 2004 Doug Muchoney USGS

FINAL COVERAGE MAP: FLAT MAP

SRTM: Unfinished 3-arc-second All the unfinished 3-arc-sec global data are now available. The last 2 areas, Australia and ocean island groups, were released a couple months ago. All those data are available via anonymous ftp (as 1x1-degree tiles) from: ftp://edcftp.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/srtm/

SRTM: Unfinished 1-arc-second The unfinished 1-arc-sec data over the U.S. are also available as 1x1-degree tiles on the anonymous ftp site The unfinished 1-arc-sec data for the U.S. and 3-arc-sec data for North and South America are available for download and media orders on the seamless server (seamless.usgs.gov).

SRTM: Finished 3-arc-second Most of the global 3-arc-sec data are available on media (http://edcsns17.cr.usgs.gov/srtm/index.html). The areas of 3-arc-sec finished data that are not yet available are western and southern Africa, and Australia. NGA reports that all the final finished data should be done by the end of Sept., so expect that we'll soon have the rest and will have it available for distribution soon thereafter.

SRTM: Finished 1-arc-second Finished data, 1-arc-sec data over the U.S. are available on media (http://edcsns17.cr.usgs.gov/srtmdted2/),

Elevation Derivatives EDNA is a multi-layered database derived from a version of the National Elevation Dataset (NED), which has been hydrologically conditioned for improved hydrologic flow representation. The seamless EDNA database provides 30 meters resolution raster and vector data layers including: National Elevation Dataset (NED) Aspect Contours Filled DEM Flow Accumulation Flow Direction Reach Catchment Seedpoints Reach Catchments Shaded Relief Sinks Slope Synthetic Streamlines
