10 Student leadership SRC is an integral part of student life and a critical cooperative governance partner in a college SRC members take responsibilities that enhance student life on campuses. This means that the SRC members are empowered to invest in people and communities SRC guided by constitution, each college should have an up to date constitution in place SRC orientation programme on college processes, role, participation in governance structures and leadership theories/ conflict management 10

11 Exit Support Work readiness programmes in place Programmes to promote entrepreneurship Adequate support to enable articulation into HEI Dedicate unit to facilitate work placement (during and after college) Correct marketing of programmes to employers is crucial Providing up-to-date information about employment opportunities on campus notice boards or in the resource centre Linking students directly with employers 11
