Understand the impact of recent changes in accountability systems on local public school districts. 2.Understand how local districts have responded to the changes in state funding in public schools. 3.Understand how local districts are changing how they deliver instruction to meet the needs for public accountability, while increasing flexibility to meet the needs of the students. 4.Understand the challenges places upon local school districts by private and charter schools.

Learning Objectives Construction Cost Outlook At the end of this program, participants will be able to: 1.Examine the size and growth projections for the educational construction market at the national, regional and local levels. 2.Identify factors at the global, national and regional levels which are contributing construction cost trends for the Central Texas education market. 3.Identify current cost trends and provide projections for near term (1-2 years) cost modeling. 4.Share long term (3-5+ years) cost projections based upon historic and current economic and cost data.
