5 Opening Activity  What is your favorite food?  What do you like about it?  Think of one word that best describes it. ≈≈≈ Foodie words: crunchy, sweet, sticky, flaky, fluffy, sour, bitter, buttery, gooshy, mushy, tart, crisp, creamy, dry, moist, dense, burnt, spicey, hot, tangy, soft, tough, flavorful, flavorless, lumpy, spongy, salty

6 Opening Activity  What is your favorite food?  What do you like about it?  Think of one word that best describes it. ≈≈≈  Turn to a neighbor and share your answers.  Share with the class what you learned from your neighbor.

15 A balanced plate  Which food group should you be eating the most from?  Vegetables. Try for 3 cups of vegetables each day.
