2 Not a new idea: C 5 F 12 /N 2 mixed for SLD RICH and analysed by sonar (1988  )

3 Pixel group wants with an analysis of possible C 3 F 8 leaks into the pixel nitrogen volume. This involves the attachment of one or two temperature-monitored sonar analysis tubes (fabricated at CPPM with transducers installed) at the output of sniffer pipes from the Pixel nitrogen volume made available in USA15, described here 

5 - Sonar tube (or 2 tubes*) with pairs of Polaroid 6000 transducers located a known distance apart - To start with: SLAC driver, receiver/discriminator boxes - Thermostatic bath / recirculator circulating ethylene glycol through cooling loop on sonar tube - Readout for temperature and pressure sensors on sonar tube - Logic analyzer to emulate previous SLAC readout system (gated 50 kHz sound pulses, fast transit time clock) - Vacuum pump to evacuate tube, various valves, exhaust bubblers, insulation etc * Possibility of 2 nd tube & active C filter for TRT CO 2 leak study . - Sonar tube (or 2 tubes*) with pairs of Polaroid 6000 transducers located a known distance apart - To start with: SLAC driver, receiver/discriminator boxes - Thermostatic bath / recirculator circulating ethylene glycol through cooling loop on sonar tube - Readout for temperature and pressure sensors on sonar tube - Logic analyzer to emulate previous SLAC readout system (gated 50 kHz sound pulses, fast transit time clock) - Vacuum pump to evacuate tube, various valves, exhaust bubblers, insulation etc * Possibility of 2 nd tube & active C filter for TRT CO 2 leak study .
