7 Case 1: ’Symbio’  the students as developers and learners together with SMEs and regional organisations  Already 300 students have studied in Symbio (½ year, 30 credits) Student/Project manager Suvi’s success story:  Project ’Winterfest event’ produced together with Speed Promotion&Agency Ltd  ”The process has been amazing. I have learned to use all the knowledge I have during the past 8 months. I have learned to lead a team and maintain motivation in order to reach the objects’”  Today she is working as a producer in Speed Promotion& Agency www.haaga-helia.fi 6

9 Case 3: Innovators’ workshop  A physical and virtual learning and innovation space  A new learning environment for ICT students  105 credits at maximum  Possibility to join already during the 1. semester  For the ICT companies: service and product development, new innovations (new businesses), prototyping…  A thesis and workplacement can be integrated as a path for an innovator www.haaga-helia.fi 8

10 Case 4: Innocatering – The Restaurant of Tomorrow  The aim is to develop a real life innovation environments  Partners: Forum Virium Centre, Construction company, Restaurant, Design and technology companies  In 2008-09: Over 100 students created the scenarios of the future service environment and the concept planning  In 2010: over 100 students will work on scenarios, on concept development and on ’micro world’ construction www.haaga-helia.fi 9
