2  Comprehensive Research study- “Circle of Voices- Dialogue for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Student Success”.  3 year plan for implementation FIRST NATIONS & MÉTIS INIATIVES FUND 2007-2010 Goals-  Implementation of A Time for Significant Leadership to support First Nations and Métis education- Building Catalyst Teachers  Division wide actualization of mandatory treaty education

3  Offered grade 7-12 Teaching Treaties in the Classroom full day sessions  After school cultural awareness workshops- on First Nations and Métis worldview  STF- full day workshops- Mosom and Kokum- Aboriginal Awareness  Sister Eva Solomon- First Nations Spirituality and Catholicism  School Leadership Teams- Elder Teachings ½ Day sessions

4  One day workshops offered for individual grades K- 6 Teachers for “Treaty Make it and Take it’ workshops  Teacher created Kindergarten to grade 6 lessons to support Treaty units of study (available on the OTC wikispace)

5 School Improvement Planning  SMART GOAL- System Wide By June 2010, all K-6 teachers will have attended a Treaty Education workshop and be prepared to implement into areas of study and teaching for the 2010-2011 school year. Performance Indicators & Baseline Data  Grade K-6 Treaty Teacher Training 2 day workshop  Grade 7-12 Treaty Teacher Training 2 day workshop  Grade K-2 Teachers, “Make It and Take It” Workshop  Grade 3 & 4 Teachers, “Make It and Take It” Workshop  Grade 5 & 6 Teachers," Make it and Take It” Workshop  “NEW”- French Immersion- 7-12 Teaching Treaties in the Classroom Workshop

6  RCS Arts Ed Consultant- K-3 Circle of Life & Sacred number 4- Dance Unit that supports the OTC Treaty Kindergarten unit.  Novel Study, “ As Long as the Rivers Flow” Grade 4-6 (Available OTC Wikispace)  Grade K-6 “Make It and Take It” lessons created by RCS teachers (Available OTC Wikispace)
