2 Four Contracts Community Development Timebanking Emotional Resilience Information and Advice Services * Managed by LPCo * Delivered in partnership through : - Young People Cornwall - Penwith Community Development Trust - Volunteer Cornwall - Xenzone - Young People * Important linkages between activities to ensure no gaps for YP and they access all support they need

3 Information, Advice & Support Key Features: An accessible, flexible and responsive Information, Advice and Support service Delivered through a variety of means and settings including ▫Outreach, and/or mobile service provisions in local communities to address barriers to engagement. ▫Online provision, e.g. use Social Media, and links to relevant websites like Advice guide, FIS Website, Cornwall Council 11+ web pages ▫Face to face provision - existing Drop in Centres (West, Mid & East Cornwall) ▫Telephone service Development of existing work with schools in providing 1 to 1 support/Early Help, TACs and group work.

4 Information, Advice & Support Key Features (Cont.): Self-referrals from YP and referrals from other agencies in communities who are working with vulnerable YP and/or parents. 5 Emotional Resilience Key Features: Online Counselling Support Service Face to face counselling in schools and communities Face to Face Mentoring Peer-led mentoring Flexible and versatile to meet demand Accessible and young people friendly Improving young people’s emotional resilience and mental well-being Main Contact: Aaron Sefi, Xenzone 0845 330 7090

6 Community Development Key features of Community Development: Providing on the ground support & training to communities enabling them to set up and develop their own youth provision, activities and resources which improve outcomes for young people Support & training to communities & groups enabling them to run activities / events/ clubs etc for young people which are high quality and compliant Support with governance issues & practicalities of running clubs / activities

7 Community Development (cont.) Key Features of Participation/Young People’s Voice: Supporting current Members of Youth Parliament Running Young People’s Reference groups across Cornwall ensuring young people can influence local, county and national decisions & can understand how they can have their voices heard at parish, town & city council levels. Enabling young people and communities to co-produce projects and activities that meet the needs of young people & their communities. 8 Timebanking Key Features: Develop a Timebanking model based on the philosophy that time is a currency ▫Issuers network, e.g. Community Groups and Activities, including youth groups, community centres, residents associations, village halls, faith groups, schools etc. ▫Spend network, e.g. paintballing, surfing, swimming, cinema trips or attractions like The Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Hall for Cornwall Young people will drive the project based on their needs and aspirations Work closely with Community Development activity to identify and develop existing community and youth assets, Main contact: Terry Stanton, Volunteer Cornwall 01872 266992
