3. How? Virus’s can enter your computer in many different ways. The main three are pop ups, downloads, and emails. As you open these programmes the virus then jumps onto the hard drive and starts to do its process. They can happen instantly or be continuous. Sometimes they are noticeable but some are hard to find.

4. Protection Most computers come with virus packages witch alert the user if any bugs are found on a web page or email. Some virus’s can be a fake warning of the actually protection system. The easiest way to prevent loosing files it to back them up. This can be with disks or UBS's. Another easy method is the free services that are given. Most internet providers give advice and also online help to stop the virus as it enters.

5. T he role of an anti-virus The most important role of an anti virus is normally to stop the virus at its source. This way it cannot start its work and is usually at its weakest. When a virus enters a computer, the item will be seen as unknown. This triggers the anti virus to go and find the virus. They then cut of all the sources it has found so it doesn’t cause any more harm. If a virus is found a week after it has enter many files normally would have been ruined. The anti virus would then put the computer into a sleep mode so there is so power or files for the virus to take. this then makes it a pointless programme. The computer would then be reset to clear the virus from it.
