2 Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Education Mission Statement: “To create Seventh-day Adventist schools of excellence that are focused on optimal student growth experiences where teachers are continuously seeking ways to improve curriculum, instruction, and assessment within a nurturing, spiritual environment.”

3 VISION: To link the Carolina Conference office and strategic places in the field together through video conferencing.

4 GOALS: –To provide an environment where teachers can meet together for interactive staff development without extensive travel and time. –To provide a time and distance effective manner for teachers to observe each other actually teaching in the classroom for the purposes of mentoring and coaching. –To link students to students of other SDA schools for the purpose of interactive learning

5 PHASE ONE: Increase Band Width at Pisgah Academy and Conference Office. Step One

6 Highlighted Benefits: No Long Distance charges for Pisgah or the Conference Office. Upgrade voice and phone system for both locations. Infrastructure in place for conference-wide networking with data, voice, and video. 800 numbers for both sites at no additional charge.

7 PHASE ONE: Install video camera at Pisgah Academy. Install video camera at Conference Office. Step Two

8 Highlighted Benefits: Reduced travel for meetings between Pisgah and Conference Office. Increased rate of quorum for meetings. Reduce conference calls. Save money on travel and lodging. Increase Pisgah’s Enrollment for 2004/2005. Impact the budget with growing value. Three-way between Pisgah Manor, Winslow, and Conference for board meetings.

9 Centralized Networking: Host MPA Web site out of Charlotte Host MPA e-mail out of Charlotte Implement Internet filtering at both sites. Manage users, files, and security-both sites. Manage voice mail – both sites Exchange of information between both sites- Print to all printers;File Sharing; 4-digit dialing;Program Sharing

10 PHASE ONE: Verify high speed Internet access at locations. Step Three

11 Highlighted Benefits: Streaming video to other locations: (at no additional cost) –Pisgah to field schools –Office to churches –Office to schools –Office to pastors –Office to teachers –Office to certain area meetings close to Pisgah and/or conference office.
