2 Poseidon Poseidon is a God. He is from Greek Mythology.

3 Background Poseidon was born and swallowed by his father along with his siblings Zeus, Hades, Hera, Hestia and Demeter. But he was thrown up again. His wife is Amphitrite. He has had many consorts. Poseidon is the father of Mortals, animals, giants, nymphs, and divines.

4 Claim to Fame Poseidon is the god of the sea, rivers, flood , drought, earthquakes, and horses. He is one of the supreme gods of Mount Olympus He fought with Zeus and Hades in the War of the Titanes. He sent a sea-monster to persecute the Trojans for not paying him for building their walls. He had a contest with Athena for dominion of Athens, he produced the first horse. Poseidon also punished Odysseus for blinding his son Polyphemos.

5 Downfall Poseidon has no downfall.
He uses his powers to put fear into people to punish them for revenge. When Poseidon got in a bad mood he would strike his trident to the ground and cause springs, earthquakes, shipwrecks, and drowning.
