2. DESK TOP PUBLISHING Desk Top Publishing packages mix text and graphics very easily. We use these programs to create flyers, brochures, leaflets, posters etc. They give us professional layout schemes and allow us to insert clip art, pictures, word art etc. Types of DTP packages include; Microsoft Publisher, Corel Draw, Design View etc. COMPUTER SOFTWARE

3. COMPUTER AIDED DRAWING Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) packages allow us to create complex orthographic and pictorial drawings with precise detail and accuracy. Architects and draughtsmen use CAD packages when producing drawings for house layouts, plans, structures etc. Examples of CAD packages are AutoCAD, AutoSketch, TurboCAD etc. COMPUTER SOFTWARE

4. SPREADSHEETS A Spreadsheet is a type of package which is particularly good for storing data in. It is a large grid onto which we can keep tables, charts, statistics and other information. We can also create 3D graphs from the data we have entered. An example of a spreadsheet package would be Microsoft Excel. COMPUTER SOFTWARE

5. WORD PROCESSING A Word Processing package allows us to type information, stories, news etc. onto a page. The package has many features to make the typing attractive and eye catching, e.g. bold, italic, colour, justification etc. An example of a Word Processing package would be Microsoft Word or ClarisWorks.
