2. 2 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC SC2 Scope Scope Revised  E3 Terminology Definitions and Best Practices Subcommittee 2 (SC2) is responsible for developing electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) terminology for C63 ® publications, and harmonizing the use of E3 terms with U.S. military and international standardization bodies. SC2 is also responsible for developing guidelines and best practices for application of C63 ®, other commercial, and US military E3 standards.

9. 9 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC C63 Newsletter – SC2 Input Mr. Chris Dilay, formerly the vice-chair of SC2 was nominated and approved as the next SC2 chairman beginning 01 January 2015. Mr. Marcus Shellman, who has served as the SC2 chair for 2 terms, was nominated and approved as the new vice-chair. Mr. Michael Duncanson was nominated and approved to continue as the SC2 secretariat. SC2 Working Group 1 anticipates publication of ANSI C63.14-201X by 31 December 2014. WG1 will immediately start working on the next 5-year update. Working under an approved PINS, SC2 established WG2 for drafting the new ANSI C63.28 "American National Standard, Guide for Best Practices for EMC Compliance."
