Reading Reason 5 Reading makes you smarter!

Coaching Whenever players have time off from practice, they become rusty. Monday practices are the hardest because after a few days off, the players lose their sharpness.

Rusty Readers Students who do not read every day become rusty at reading. If you did not read over the summer, you are out of reading shape when school starts in September.

Estimate TV Time Estimate how many hours of TV you have watched over the past 7 days. (15) Multiply that number by 52 to estimate the number of hours you might watch in a year. (780) Multiply by 5 to estimate how many hours you might watch in five years. (3,900) Chart your results like the example on the next page.
