Fuller and wider access to scientific publications and data will help to: accelerate innovation (faster to market = faster growth); foster collaboration and avoid duplication of effort (greater efficiency); build on previous research results (improved quality of results); involve citizens and society (improved transparency of the scientific process). First step is taken – letter by the secretary of state of Education, Culture and Science, mr. Sander Dekker, on publications (golden road) Policy making on Open access on data is yet to start  now is the time!

Boundaries in making research data available (e.g. protection rules, intellectual property, trade secrets, confidentiality, ethics, security)? How to stimulate public-private partnerships while working with Open Access  Horizon 2020 (pilot) will help to provide best practices and insights  Science and innovation effects us all  Lets take up these challenges together!
