2. On Sunday the police discovered a twelve year old girl from Colorado who tried multiple times to kill her mom by spiking her drinks with bleach. Her mom had recently taken away her iPhone and she wanted to get it back. The mom had noticed a smoothie smelling and tasting like bleach and also smelled bleach in a water that her daughter made for her. The mom confronted the daughter who then admitted that she planned on killing her mother. The girl was turned into the police by her mom after admitting to spiking the drinks. The daughter has been taken to the juvenile delinquent center and the mother is in the hospital for an illness related to the consumption of bleach. The police late learned that the daughter had been adding bleach to the water carafe for multiple days. Situation:

5. o The mother didn’t do anything about her child’s attempt at murder until after she was already in the hospital, but she was aware of her daughter’s intentions well before. o The daughter, like more and more children and teens today, looked towards violence to get something done when there is a better way to handle it. o The daughter blamed the mother for her actions because she took away her phone in the first place.
