4 Brill journals 2006: 117 journals, almost all available online Subject areas: –STM (focus on biology, maths, materials science) –Humanities –Social sciences –Law

5 STM Journal of Biomaterials Science, Polymer Edition –Impact factor 1.255 –Number 7 out of 15 biomaterials journals in the listing –Number 25 out of 75 polymer science journals –Korean editor included in the editorial board (YH Kim, Seoul)

6 STM Behaviour Impact factor 1.103 Number 34 out of 41 behavioural sciences journals Number 36 out of 112 zoology journals

7 STM Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology Impact factor up from 0.822 to 0.937 Korean editors : CE Park, Pohang and DG Lee, Taejon

11 Existing consortia for Brill journals Current consortia deals include: - JULAC (Hong Kong) - Ohiolink (USA) - CEIRC (Australia) - NESLI (UK) - BIBSAM (Sweden)

12 Brill proposal E-access to ALL Brill’s online journals (worth over Euro 40,000 at 2006 prices) E-access surcharge of 9% instead of the normal 15% surcharge Euro 500 minimum per site participation fee Current print subscriptions maintained Price cap of 5% for 3 year agreement instead of the normal 7% price cap Minimun Participation of 10 libraries which do not currently have any Brill subscriptions

13 Archival policy Immediate access to all available e-issues Provision of perpetual archive to authorised users at the end of the agreement.
