12. NYS DOT Simulator Project …in the beginning Doron contacted NYS DOT to discuss possibility of our training of rural bus operators. We first met Paul Ouderkirk about four years ago.

13. The Need Paul almost instantly saw the need and began his investigation. We discussed how several other transit systems had successfully integrated simulation into operator training.

24. The Deal NYS DOT made an arrangement with BC Transit to reimburse them for the purchase of the simulator system. The system will be relocated several times each year for training RTAP grantees. The simulator system will be based at BC Transit.
