2 Appeals to consider: Vanity: excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements Pride: a feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. Guilt: make (someone) feel guilty, especially in order to induce them to do something Fear: be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening.

Logos- appeal to logicEdwards is telling his audience the logical thing to do is to change their hearts. He tells the audience that they will be sent to fiery pits at any moment if they do not undergo this personal conversion. The logical thing to do is to avoid hell and instead have faith in God.
