21.10.20155 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Filling in the societal challenges You start with societal challenges. When a specific societal challenge is not relevant for your case, just ignore it in the further elaboration. You can scroll to see all content

21.10.20156 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Filling in the societal challenges It is possible to add another or a more specific societal challenge that you want to address in your project. Pushing the button adds the challenge to the list.

21.10.20157 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Filling in the ambition for the societal challenges The next step is to elaborate the ambitions for a specific challenge. Be sure it is SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound. See also the manual’s red line document for more backgrounds Clicking this button adds each new ambition to the list

21.10.20159 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Classify ambitions Each ambition, you can classify as “people”, “planet” or “profit”.

21.10.201510 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Prioritize ambitions The next step is to prioritize ambitions. You can do this by clicking the prioritize button. You can choose from the pull down window the proper priority level. Each ambition can be classified as “high”, “medium” or “low” priority.

Next to the ambitions you can fill in the criterion. This should be a criterion that can be measured or estimated. You can also give the baseline (current situation), the objective you want to reach and the unit for the criterion.

21.10.201512 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Save and further use ambitions Click Save to save all information you entered. They will be used again in the tools “Scenario evaluation” (under module “make the transition”) and in “Check achievements” (under module “check performance” )

21.10.201513 Co-funded by the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 265097 Point of attention when setting criteria for ambitions In the “Scenario evaluation” and “Check achievement” tool, the baseline and objective will be used to determine how successful a scenario or the end situation is. It can only handle increasing values. EXAMPLE: criterionbaselineobjectivecomments Average travel time30 minutes10 minutesis not working in the tool (values decreasing) Reduction of travel time 0 minutes reduction20 minutes reduction This works perfectly in the tool
