GOLDEN RULE of EQUATION SOLVING # 1 : What you do mathematically to one side you must do to the other! (This keeps both sides of the equations balanced.) Let’s minus a 4 from BOTH sides of the equation. That will get rid of the 4 on the left! - 4 KNOW….

6. - 4 What times -2 gives us 4? Or, if we can’t do this easily, we could divide both sides by -2 - 2

8. - 6x Watch for signs!!! Check here! Common spot for mistake!!! NOW! You got to pick ANY term the first time (I picked 6x) BUT NOW you have to move the 4!!!! Moving the 8 on the right side will add steps to your solving!
