3 Background to Spain Most land controlled by caudillos on latifundios Monarchy until 1930- king is overthrown, new republic (democracy) is established. The supporters of the new republicans  Republicans

4 Popular Front Coalition that controls Spanish gov’t: -Socialists -Anarchists -Catalan separatists -Social Democrats Political platform: secularization reduce the military higher taxes on rich labor laws (8-hr work day, minimum wages)

Explain what is happening in your country (Spain) and who you would support (the Republicans or Nationalists). Please use and underline at least SEVEN details/facts from today’s notes or readings.
