1 What is CEA? It’s a Laureate International Universities’ strategy to develop teachers and functionaries’ skills and teaching- learning methods to benefit students’ profiles in order to improve the academic quality in our university.

2 What does it offer? Teacher Training Languages Professional Development Educative Technology Values Centre

3 Teacher Training It consists in a 5 Modules program to be taken in three ways: presential, semi- presential and virtual. Module 1 Human Dimension, Communication and Collaboration in the Teaching Practice. Module 2 Laureate and UVM Educative Model Module 3 Teaching Competences Module 4 Didactic Strategies Module 5 Information Technology and Communication in the Classroom. In total: a 900 hours program

4 In this sense there are other courses available: Laureate Diploma 75 Hours Diploma covering the following topics: Introduction to the LD in Teaching-Learning Student’s Centred Teaching: How to understand your students Teaching Tools Seminars

5 Languages The International Language Centre is a support for all teacher who want to learn, improve or develop their level of English. There are willing Coordinators in all UVM Campi who can assess and help you. Ask for Ivan Cardeña Mijangos here in Villahermosa

8 Values Centre Objective: Promote an integral education and an ethics culture among our university community. This summer it offers the following courses for Prepa: Bullying and its repercussion in education Values and attitudes in competences education Personal development value in the 21 st century teacher but there others for Licenciatura.
