A projectile is an object upon which the only force acting is gravity. A projectile is an object upon which the only force acting is gravity. Projectiles can be thrown from all different directions Projectiles can be thrown from all different directions A projectile continues its motion by its own inertia and the downward force of gravity A projectile continues its motion by its own inertia and the downward force of gravity

Projectiles Projectiles go along with Newton’s First Law and his Laws of Motion saying an object will keep on doing what they are doing unless an outside force acts upon it. without without gravity the object will stay in the same motion with the same speed. For example, a projectile that is moving upwards has a downwards force acting on it and a downwards acceleration slowing it down. With the absence of forces, the object will stay in motion and go in a straight line.

Without gravity, the wheel will stay in motion and maintain its speed in the same direction

Definition 300 pts. Q. What two kinds of motion can a projectile have and what are they? A.Horizontal and Vertical Motion H- How fast the object moves forward or backward V- How fast the object moves upward or downward x y Projectile

Equations 200 pts. Q. 2ad = ? A. 2ad = Vf^2 – Vi^2

Equations 100 pts. Q. D equals what? A. d = Vit + 1/2at^2

Problems 300 pts. Q. A bullet is shot at a target 50 meters away and it dropped.5 meters by the time it reaches the target, how long does it take to drop? A. Time =.319 sec

Problems 200 pts. Q. A ball is launched at a 30 degree angle with an a initial speed of 8 m/s, how much upwards velocity does the ball have? A. 4 m/s

Problems 100 pts. Q. You drop a ball from a 5 meter ledge how long does in take to hit the ground? A. Time = 1.01 sec
