The big red tube sticking up is the venacava and the tube with the stripes is the aorta. Luckily my spouse is a doctor and helps me name the parts right. 14. Blood Flow through the Heart Blood with little oxygen is pumped from the Right Atrium  through a valve  Right Ventricle  through a valve  Pulmonary Artery. The Pulmonary Artery sends it to the Lungs to pick up Oxygen. Blood returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins. Pulmonary veins carries oxygen- rich blood  Left Atrium  through a valve  Left Ventricle  through a valve  Aorta.
