2. Guillaume the Conqueror, called Guillaume Bastard, Guillaume II of Normandy and William I,was son of Robert the devil and Arlète, daughter of tanner brave. I was born in 1028 and died to Falaise on the 9 th September in 1087. It is Duke of Normandy from 1035 to his death and King of England in 1066 to his death.

3. Edward the Confessor had no heir, and as he got on very well with William I, his cousin. He decided to appoint future King of England when he is dead. Harold was not happy, he would have preferred to become the King of England in place of William I.
