3 Mythology/Mythological Noun: a collection of myths, especially one belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition the study of myths Adjective: relating to, based on, or appearing in myths or mythology

4 Minotaur a bull-headed monster born to Queen Pasiphae of Krete after she had coupled with a bull

5 Medusa a monster generally described as having the face of a hideous human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair Medusa's face can turn anyone to stone

6 The Furies A trio of sisters who hang out and guard Hades One of the furies poses as Percy’s math teacher

7 Chimera He is part fire- breathing lion and part goat, with a diamond back rattlesnake for a tail

8 Echidna a monster, half- woman and half- snake, who lived alone in a cave

9 Cerberus He's a ginormous doggy with three heads. His job is to sniff out the living who might be trying to sneak into the Underworld.

10 Oracle The Oracle can see into the future and can offer prophecies, or predictions. She lives in the attic in a decaying mummy's mouth and her prophecies take the form of a magical green mist. While she does give valuable insight into the future, she also kind of speaks in riddles, making it hard to really know what she means.

11 Naiads A naiad is a kind of nymph that lives in bodies of fresh-water. They are beautiful lady- creatures.

12 Centaurs a centaur, or half-man, half-horse They tend to be really wild and even violent

13 Satyrs Satyrs are half-man, half- other creature (not always half-goat). They serve Pan, the God of Wild Places, and make it their life's work to find him Satyrs can speak to animals, and they have deep respect for nature and everything in it You could think of them as the greatest environmentalists ever to live

14 Wood Nymphs Beautiful lady creatures who live in the woods. Literally, they live in the trees.

15 Cyclopes The Cyclopes are giants who are really good at building and making stuff. They live under the ocean.
