6 Andrew McNabNorthGrid, GridPP8, 23 Sept 2003Slide 6 Manchester Existing BaBar (80 nodes), DZero (60 nodes) and Gridfarm (20 nodes) equipment in use. Outcome of SRIF/SRIF replacement funding of dedicated HEP facility not officially announced. The GridPP-funded Tier2 half-post for NorthGrid is currently under offer –Other half will come from e-Science North West. Installing EDG 2.0 on Gridfarm testbed machines.

7 Andrew McNabNorthGrid, GridPP8, 23 Sept 2003Slide 7 Sheffield A partner of the White Rose Grid SRIF bid (with Leeds) will be sent to HEFC by end of September –400 CPU, 10 TB storage; ~50% for HEP. 50 processors running, 100 by December (2-2.4 GHz) for HEP –EDG 2.0 being installed
