11 Don't leave your revision to the last minute. START NOW!!! Plan it well. Break it down into sections and topics.

13 You need strong foundations in basic Maths to build on. Spend about ten minutes a day reading through the area(s) that cause you the most problems on a website or from a revision book. Start with simple examples until you are sure you know what you are doing. Move onto more difficult examples.

25 Equipment Make sure you have the correct equipment: 2 pens 2 pencils Ruler (30cm with scale visible) Rubber Sharpener Compasses (that work and don't slip) Protractor Calculator (that you know how to use) - Make sure you know how different functions like sin, cos, tan, square root etc. work on your calculator.

27 The Exam!!! When you are allowed to start your exam, take a few minutes to settle down. Read the paper through carefully. Find a question you are comfortable with starting, even if it is near to the end of the paper. Write something!!!

Read every question through, read it again and underline any important information, decide what calculation you need to carry out, SHOW ALL YOUR WORKING, even if you are using a calculator; you get marks for your method if it is correct. Write your answer in the correct space and if necessary round the answer to an appropriate degree of accuracy.

33 The End of the Exam Leave yourself enough time to thoroughly check your working answers. Actually read each question again and pay attention to your calculations and your answer including any units.
