I will be able to explain the origins of Black History Month.

2.  Who is credited with the founding of Black History Month?  Why did he feel it was necessary to chronicle the achievements of African Americans ?  What do we know about his background?  What year did we as an entire nation begin to recognize Black History Month?  Why was February selected to celebrate Black History Month?
