2 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Objectives  To provide the requirements for the bank’s personnel on the use of Text-A-Deposit;  To provide the policy and procedure in handling Text-A-Deposit transaction;  To provide the roles and responsibilities of various bank personnel involved in the Text- A-Deposit process;  To provide a detailed procedure in securing Text-A-Deposit transactions using the menu driven interface.

4 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Pre-requisite For a client to avail of the RBAP Text-A-Deposit Service of the bank: 1) The client should have an account with the bank; 2) The client needs to register and 3) Sign the Text-A-Deposit agreement with the bank.

5 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary The procedure of RBAP Text-A- Deposit is in reference to the existing procedures on Cash-In/Cash-Out. G-Cash outlets for Text-A-Deposit refer to Rural Bank branches that are accredited partners of Globe/GXI accepting G-Cash transactions for Cash-In and Cash-Out Important:

6 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Security and Internal Control 1)The custodian of the mobile phone must be an officer of the bank (Cashier/Manager/Designated Officer of the Bank) 2)M-PIN (Mobile Personal ID No.) and security code of the mobile phone must be secured and should not be known to anyone other than the designated custodian of the mobile phone. 3)It is required that G-Cash Menu-Driven Interface must be used. To access Menu-Driven Interface in your cellphone, go to Globe Services (Globe Svcs+) then click on myFavorites>G-Cash

7 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Security and Internal Control 5) The bank’s mobile phone must be used for G-Cash related activities only 6) The Branch’s Mobile Phone Phonebook/SIM must contain Head Office’s Cellphone Number (2882+10- digit Head Office Cellphone Number) 7) Phone-to-Phone (P2P) Fund Transfer transactions must be supported by receipts and recordings in the Logsheet and G-Cash Journal 8) Any internal/security control violations should not be tolerated and must be reported immediately for proper action (Please see information security policy manual).

8 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Sending G-Cash for Credit to Bank Account 1) The bank teller (or any personnel designated to handle G-Cash transactions e.g. new accounts clerk) must use the G-Cash Service Form in all Cash-in transactions;G-Cash Service Form 2) The teller checks that the G-Cash Service Forms are complete and performs verification procedure based on the accomplished form and ID(s); 3) The teller receives cash payment from the client, posts and validates the transaction; NOTE: If client is unregistered, the bank personnel shall advise the non-registered Globe and TM subscriber to register using the G-Cash menu driven interface;

9 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Sending G-Cash for Credit to Bank Account 4) The New Accounts Clerk/Teller shall perform the following: a. Verifies (2) forms: G-Cash Service Form and “To Send” form are completeTo Send b. Verifies the following information in the “To Send” form is complete and accurate before giving the forms to the cashier for entry:  Sender’s Information (First Name, last name and MI)  Amount  Mobile Number of the Sender (if available)  This is very important: Recipient Details like Bank Name, branch, address, account number, account type and G-Cash mobile phone number of the recipient bank.

10 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Sending G-Cash for Credit to Bank Account 5) The cashier shall places a check mark in the “Transaction Confirmation Box” on the G-Cash Service Form and the “To Send” Form and signs the appropriate space indicated as “P2P Performed by (bank).” 6) The Cashier then shows the confirmation message on the mobile phone bearing the Transaction Trace Number to the client/sender. 7) Once the client/sender has verified the message, the cashier requests the client to sign the space indicated as “P2P Confirmed by (client).”

11 How to send: In the 70-character optional message Wherein: FAO is the instruction means “For the Account Of” AcctNo: indicates that the number found in the optional message is the account number to where the g-cash value will be credited to.

14 Crediting Bank Account Using G-Cash Value Upon receipt of the G-Cash, Teller shall:  Fill-up the Credit Advice/Memo Form based on the information indicated in the confirmation message receives by the Bank. In the Credit Advice, accomplish Today’s Date, Name of Depositor, Name of Sender, Account Number, Trace Reference.  Compute, if charges or fees is applicable, the Net Proceeds of the G-Cash receive before crediting it to the account of the depositor. Otherwise, Net Proceeds is equal to the amount of G-Cash received.  Indicate instruction for this transaction, if applicable. The form must be signed as required.  Send the Credit Advice to the Posting In-charge (Teller or Bookkeeper) for Crediting to the Depositor’s Account.

15 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Crediting Bank Account Using G-Cash Value  Posting In-charge shall check if the Depositor indicated in the Credit Advice is enrolled with Deposit Taking Service. If the Depositor is not enrolled, Posting shall write a remarks that the amount is credited but in the hold-out status pending compliance of enrollment requirements.  Posting In-Charge shall Post/Credit the amount indicated in the Net Proceeds to the Account Number indicated in the Credit Advice. Posting In- charge shall check the validation/ledger against information in the Credit Advice.  In case of incorrect name and/or account number in the confirmation message, write down instruction/remarks into the form and file this form for future claim and reconciliation with the client.

17 Posting Procedure Manual Input Input the collection/payment details in the logsheet into the Loan Management System/Module using the Account Number or Client’s Name column of the Logsheet as primary search key. Check/Inquire the borrower’s ledger Automated Process (interface program not available)

21 RBAP Confidential and Proprietary Automated Posting Process (Second Phase) Download/Capture text messages from the Cellphone using the interface program Check the downloaded/captured messages in transaction format (cellphone number, name, amount, trace number, date and time) Update the captured messages into the CA/SA System/Module Check/Inquire the client’s CA/SA account
