Japanese painter Late 1500s/ 16th century Part of Expressionism art movement: not about a perfect reproduction of the subject, about capturing the subject’s mood, spirit or expression.

India Ink: black ink used for writing and printing in the past. Now used more for drawing and painting, made of soot and water. Ink Wash: East Asian type of painting, developed from using india ink for calligraphy Wet on wet Dry Brush Blended
