Use Course Planning Guide For Help! 6. Discuss your forecasting plans with your parents. 7. Meet with your counselor as needed. 8. Turn in form to your teacher by due date.

4 Graduation Credit Requirements Language Arts 4.00 Social Studies 3.00 Math 3.00 Science 3.00 World Language 1.00 Physical Ed 1.00 Health 1.00 Career/Fine Arts/Tech *2.00 Electives 7.00 Total Credits Required: 25.50 credit must be earned in Technology *may be earned in tech, fine arts, business electives.50 credit must be earned in Technology *may be earned in tech, fine arts, business electives

5 + Additional Requirements for Graduation: ACADEMIC PORTFOLIO: State Tests: Passing State test scores or work samples in: Reading, Math, and Writing. Four Year Plan Created in the freshman year, updated each year by the student. Extended Application Completed in senior year within your health class 2 Career Related Learning Experiences (CRLE) Opportunities for CRLE’s are offered in Health and advanced elective classes. 6 + How many classes do I take? Seniors MUST take at least 5 classes. You can TA once per semester. Work Experience counts as a class.

7 + Honor Roll & Athletics: Honor Roll requires 6 graded classes. Any class taken for Pass/No Pass credit will not count. Participating in Athletics requires passing 5 graded classes. For NCAA eligibility: Need 16 Core Credits Register with NCAA Junior Year See Athletic Director for Questions.

8 + General University Requirements A minimum grade of “C” in core courses 4 years of English 3 years of Mathematics - (including Algebra 2) 3 years of Science 3 years of Social Studies 2 years of the same World Language 16 academic credits in core subject areas.5 credit in a Visual/Performing Fine Arts class is recommended

9 College Acceptance GPA GPA REQUIREMENTS: 3.00 for U of O (review) 3.00 for OSU, PSU, OIT, SOU 2.75 for EOU, WOU Additional review may be required by the college. Universities also require ACT/SAT test scores including writing..

10 + Scholars Diploma Earn accumulative GPA of at least 3.5 Earn a minimum of 25 credits, 8 of which must be in designated advanced courses Have been an active participant in at least one co-curricular activity May earn only one elective credit using the PASS/NO PASS option. NOTE: See Course Planning Guide for MORE information!

11 + Credit Recovery There are several ways you can make up a class that you’ve failed. Classes must be approved by your COUNSELOR prior to registration. If you have questions, make an appointment to see your Counselor ASAP! GRADUATION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, SO DON’T WAIT!

12 + Forecast Sheet After you have completed the personal data section, Mark core course selections with an “X” Mark alternates with A1, A2, and A3 in order of preference. Choose classes for English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Health. Get signatures of teachers as indicated. Include parent/guardian signature

13 + Choosing CORE Classes For ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE & HISTORY: CONSULT WITH YOUR TEACHERS IN ORDER TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLASS! WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25 th IS FORECASTING DAY! TEACHERS WILL LOOK OVER FORMS AND SIGN FOR THE RIGHT CLASSES. USE THE COURSE PLANNING GUIDE FOR HELP!

14 + Electives Many elective options are available! Try something NEW! Grades in electives DO MATTER ! Remember Teacher Aides: One period per semester Requires teacher’s signature Cannot aide during teacher’s prep time
