14. 2008 – 2009 Awards and Honors Iona R. Malanchuk received the national “I Love My Librarian Award” sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation/New York Times/American Library Association in December 2008.

15. 2008 – 2009 Awards and Honors Cathy Martyniak won an ALCTS Presidential citation in June of 2008 for her national work on a definition of digital preservation

University Historian Carl Van Ness successfully identified the first African-American graduates from each UF college. Contract signed with Internet Archive in May. PR & Marketing funds supported several events: TechExpo, ArtBash, GIS Day, faculty author reception, Digital Literacy Contest, Elegance of Science art contest reception.
