2 2 About Axiom?  Established in 1967  Based in Peterborough and work across Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire  Not-for-profit organisation  Provide services to over 5,000 people  Includes general needs housing, sheltered housing, extra care schemes, supported housing projects and domicillary care  Employs 220 staff and over 40 relief workers

4 2 Implementation of project  Applied for funding:  Health, Work & Well-being Challenge Fund  Funding matched by Axiom  Health and well-being group formed  Responsible for ensuring project milestones are being met  Co-ordination of all health and well-being activities  Branded the project……..

5 2 Events to date Well-being leaflets to all staff Pedometer challenge Absence training for Managers Staff Survey on well-being topics Fruit for all staff and board members Competition to win sports equipment Well-being online forums on intranet Quarterly reward and recognition scheme Monthly health based quiz and prize

6 2 Annual sports day Well-being checks for all staff Stress management training –All staff –Management training –Accredited qualifications Well-being aspect to staff conferences –Healthy lunch, GoMAD session well-being stands, music video and guest speaker Simon Weston Events to date

7 2 Other initiatives Train the Trainer – Self Care Walk to work week Health Awareness Training – RSPH Level 1 & 2 Funded private medical consultations to speed up diagnosis Refer all long term sick absences to Occupational Health Adaptations to work place i.e. padding around workstation, dictaphone, alarm bracelet
