Citations generated in a search engine are not always 100% correct.  This module will cover the basic of ASA book citations, but always check your ASA style manual if you have questions.  By the end of this module, you will be able to:  Identify the components of a basic ASA book citation  Correctly format a basic ASA citation  Correctly capitalize and punctuate a basic ASA book citation Click Continue to begin!

The first author is always Last name, First name, but if there are more than 1 author, all other authors are listed First Name M. Last Name. The last author is connected with the word “and.” The end of the author section is signified with a period.

The end of the date section is signified with a period.

Words are capitalized unless they are an article, preposition, or conjunction that is not at the beginning of the title or subtitle. Subtitles begin after a colon and a space after the title. The end of the title section is signified with a period.
