Proximity Proximity - intellectually connected
- combines multiple visual units - gives the reader clear structure of where to go to next - group related items - communicate using extra spacing - Don’t use exclusively all caps - If there are 3-5 elements on a page they should be moved closer to one another Proximity is used for the reader to not be overwhelmed by the way the items are placed throughout the page.
