1 9/16/2003; Revised 7/12/2004 DPI Vehicle Fleet Management IM-1 1 Use this procedure to extend material master data to another plant. 1.From the SAP R/3 System Easy Access screen or from your favorites, enter or select transaction code ZMM01Z. 2.Click or press Enter. The Create Material (Initial Screen) displays. 3.Enter Material Number; repeat material number in “Copy From” field. 4.Click or press Enter. 5.On the Select Views screen, select the following required views by clicking in the box to the left of each view. - Basic Data 1 - Basic Data 2 - Classification - Purchasing - Purchase Order Text (Do not make changes in this view) - MRP1 - MRP2 - MRP3 - MRP4 - Forecasting - General Plant Data/Storage1 - General Plant Data/Storage2 - Quality Management (Do not make changes in this view) - Accounting1 6.Place checkmark in Create views selected box. 7.Click Default values icon to save the selections. 8.Click on Organization levels to display Organizational levels screen. 9.Enter your Plant and Storage Location code. 10.Under Copy from, enter Plant 6000 and Storage location 8000. 11.Click on the green check. Extend Material Master ZMM01Z Back Cancel Help Exit Enter Save Execute Basic Commands Notes If a warning message is received on the Create Material (Initial Screen) stating “You do not have the authorization to create a material”, you need to exit the transaction and submit a request for a new DOT number – the number you are trying to extend does not exist in the DPI catalog.

2 9/16/2003; Revised 7/12/2004 DPI Vehicle Fleet Management IM-1 2 12.The Create Material XXXXXXXX (Semifinished products) screen displays. Either the Classification or Purchasing views will display based on the type of material being extended. If Classification view displays, click to proceed to the Purchasing view. Note: Each view displays as a tab. 13.Press Enter until the MRP 2 tab displays. 14.Enter or select a value for the following field: - Storage loc. for EP – enter your storage location. 15.Press Enter or click the green checkmark until the Plant data/stor. 1 tab displays. Note: Do Not just click the tab; you must press Enter through all selected tabs to properly extend the material. 16.Enter or select a value for each of the following fields: - Unit of issue – enter issuing criteria Only if different from Base Unit of Measure. - Storage bin – enter storage bin location (optional) 17.Continue to press Enter or click the green checkmark to move through the remaining required views until the system asks if you want to save your data. 18.Select Yes. Important Note! If at any point you are stopped a field requires input before you can move to the next view and you are unsure what to enter, open another session, enter transaction code MM03 and display the material in Plant 6000. Make a note of what has been entered on that screen and enter the exact same information on the ZMM01Z screen. 19.The system will return to the ripple pool screen and a message in the status bar will state that the material has been created.
