19 Unclassified19 United States Joint Forces Command Joint Urban Fires Prototype – A JI&E Success Story Holistic approach to improving Joint Fires  Extensive ongoing Joint fires capability gap research  Aggressive operational field experimentation  Collaborative effort with Service and Joint programs of record  Rapid transition of operationally ready capabilities  Concurrent Joint doctrine compliance and refinement The Joint Urban Fires Prototype (JUFP) Provides Joint Warfighters with the ability to apply timely precision fires, from any source, in an urban environment.

20 Concepts Under Development (JFCOM Leads) Cooperative Security Engagement In partnership with EUCOM Focused on actions the JFC takes in convert with other elements of national and international power and NGO’s to mobilize and sustain cooperation across a region in order to create a favorable security environment to U.S. and partner interests. Joint Urban Operations How can a Joint Force Commander operate in an urban environment to defeat adversaries embedded and diffused within populated urban areas without causing catastrophic damage to the functioning of the society there. Provide comprehensive treatment of the urban system---not merely to attack the embedded adversary with destructive force, but to treat the entire urban system comprehensively, applying power to disable hostile elements and enable those elements that are essential to the system’s functioning. Maritime Domain Awareness In partnership with NORTHCOM Integrate global maritime intelligence and situational awareness to understand the global maritime facets that impact the security, safety, economy and environment of the United States. Military Support to Stabilization, Security, Transition and Reconstruction Operations (SSTRO) Focused on effectively combining efforts of U.S. and Coalition militaries with those of U.S. agencies and multinational partners to provide direct assistance to stabilize the situation and build self-sufficient multinational capability and capacity. Strategic Communication In partnership with STRATCOM & SOCOM How can a joint force commander non-kinetically influence the actions or behaviors of targeted audiences in an information rich environment? Design and conduct joint operations to a strategic communication process based on desired effects upon the behaviors of various audiences. Integrating Ops and Intel (JIOC-X) How do we improve the integration of intelligence organizations? Develop processes, tools, and organizational designs through establishment of theater JIOCS.

21 Concepts Under Development (JFCOM Supports) Deterrence Operations (DO) Support STRATCOM’s DO Concept Development through participation in workshop Partnered with STRATCOM to understand relationship between Shaping and Deterrence Operations Irregular Warfare (IW) Supported SOCOM and USMC IW Concept (member of core writing team Information Operations (IO) Support STRATCOM Information Ops through Urban Resolve Partner with STRATCOM and SOCOM on the Strategic Communication JIC JFCOM led the IO LOE (Shaping JOC) with participation by EUCOM, STRATCOM, SOCOM, PACOM, and NORTHCOM Homeland Defense / Civil Support (HD/CS)  Support NORTHCOM’s homeland defense concept development through:  Noble Resolve, Urban Resolve, and Multi National Experiment  Support capabilities based analysis (CBA)  Support development of National Maritime Domain Awareness CONOPS Combating WMD (CWMD) Support STRATCOM’s CWMD concept development through Urban Resolve, Noble Resolve, and partnership with DTRA STRATCOM participated in Shaping LOE JFCOM participated in development of CWMD JIC
