What problems or challenges do the characters face on their journey?  The problem is that they did not get first in the race. If they wont to win they must win the next race. What problems or challenges do the characters face on their journey? their problem or challenge is that Manny got 6 th place. Page number 74 Why is the journey important to the characters?  The journey is important so he can win the race so he is the best one. And so he beats his time. Page number 73

What problems or challenges do the characters face on their journey?  The problem or challenge is that Kamalu took the lead over Manny Page number 101 Why is the journey important to the characters?  So Manny can become a better track player. What problems or challenges do the characters face on their journey?  The challenge is Manny is struggling to keep the lead. Will he keep the lead or will he not?
